INNISFIL, ON (October 17, 2024) The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is reaching out to our community to better understand the diverse language needs of our residents. We want our library to reflect the many languages and cultures in the municipality, and we need your help to make this happen!
We’re inviting you to participate in a survey that will guide us in choosing books and other materials in the languages you and your family speak and read. Whether you visit the library regularly or haven’t yet explored what we offer, your input is crucial. We want to know which languages and types of books you’d like to see in our collection.
The goal is to ensure our library’s collection meets the needs of all community members, including those who may not currently use the library because materials in their preferred language aren’t available, making the library more accessible and inclusive for everyone. Families with children are especially encouraged to participate, as we aim to make our library a welcoming space for readers of all ages and backgrounds. The survey will be available into 2025, and the data we collect will inform our long-term planning. Your feedback will help shape the future of our library’s collection over the coming years, making it a true reflection of Innisfil’s vibrant and diverse community.
